đź’ˇ SaaS Idea: Student Noise Coach
Hybrid mobile app that helps individual students self-monitor and regulate voice/noise. Teacher dashboard calibrates acceptable dB per context, shows live indicators, sets goals, gives haptic/visual cues to the student. Logs incidents for IEP/504 documentation; exports summaries for parents/admin.
Platform: mobile

Problem & Idea
Teachers frequently struggle to keep classroom (or specific-student) voice levels under control, especially for students with sensory or self-regulation needs (IEP/504). Evidence of Pain
- Reddit post r/Teachers (link the user provided) – teacher explicitly asks, “Is there an app to help a student self-monitor?” with multiple replies saying they couldn’t find any, or are using whole-class meters such as TooNoisy, BouncyBalls, ClassroomScreen but those don’t work for individual students.
- Numerous forum / blog threads where teachers share DIY hacks (e.g. tape an Apple Watch with noise alerts, build Arduino meters, use coloured cards). DIY = pain.
